<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a multi-band monopole antenna which is kept small in height, while maintaining ideal characteristics of a monopole antenna and capable of readily calibrating two or more frequency bands. <P>SOLUTION: In the multi-band monopole antenna, the antenna is equipped with a monopole radiating element unit 0.01 to 0.13 times as long as the basic resonant wavelength, a feeding point provided on the grounding conductor side of the monopole radiating element unit, and two or more matching lines provided on a side opposite to the grounding conductor side of the monopole radiating element unit or at the top of the monopole radiating element unit. The matching lines are each 0.10 to 0.25 times as long as the basic resonant wavelength, each being equal to or larger than the monopole radiating element unit in resistance value per unit length, provided with a longer direction vertical to that of the monopole radiating element unit, and equipped with ends opposite to their other ends on the monopole radiating element unit side being open ends. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
