<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface device which mediates between an information appliance and users so that the user can know the state of the information appliance easily by operating simply various information appliances. <P>SOLUTION: The interface device includes a register section 14 which associates a status signal and a reaction signal and registers to an accumulation section 15, a first verify section 16 which verifies a reaction signal of an accumulation section and the reaction signal from the reaction acquiring section, and a second verify section 17 which collates the reaction signal of the accumulation section and a reaction signal from the reaction acquisition section. When other status signals are acquired, the other status signals and the status signal of the accumulation section are collated. When it matches, the reaction signal related with the status signal is expressed to a user. When it does not match, other status signals are expressed to the user. At this time, the reaction signal from the user is associated with the other status signals, and is registered. When the other reaction signals are acquired, the second verify section collates the other reaction signals and reaction signal of the accumulation section.
