<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative shape material which has a surface thereof formed of a metallic luminous material, emits light when it becomes dark in the surroundings, and excellent in visibility. <P>SOLUTION: The luminous decorative shape material is formed of a substrate made of a translucent material, a metallic luminous sheet arranged on a front surface of the substrate, and a light emitting device arranged on a rear side of the substrate. The metallic luminous sheet has a translucent ratio of 10 to 35%. In the daytime or under illumination, the shape material is beautiful due to metallic gloss, but in a dark environment such as in the nighttime, it gives an impression different from that under illumination, due to light emitted from the internally arranged light emitting device. The reason of setting the translucent ratio of the metallic luminous sheet to 10 to 35% is that light from the light emitting device is hardly visible if the translucent ratio falls less than 10% and that metallic luminescence is hardly visible in a bright environment if the translucent ratio is in excess of 35%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
