<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for joining work pieces such as glass without using adhesive materials and sealed vacuum envelopes for electron emission displays. <P>SOLUTION: The joining method contemplates arranging parts 2 that will be joined together with the parts 4 contacting each other and projecting a laser beam 6 to irradiate an interface 7 between the parts to be joined through one of the parts, in a direction normal to the interface 7 to form a thermally joined portion around the interface, thus the parts to be joined are directly joined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
