<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the working efficiency of installing a snap ring by applying chamfering to at least one end of the snap ring. <P>SOLUTION: This constant velocity universal joint comprises the snap ring. The snap ring 10 as an ended ring having a slant slit 11 is mounted on an outer ring with its diameter elastically shrunk. Chamfering is applied to at least one end of the snap ring so that the snap ring can be mounted on the outer ring with no interference of the snap ring at its end therewith. This prevents a failure in assembling the snap ring without worsening the working efficiency of assembling the snap ring when mounted on the outer ring, resulting in less failure components. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
