<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blank butt welding method capable of shortening a welding cycle time of a welding system as a whole by sharing the welding of a plurality of blank pairs alternately with two welding heads. <P>SOLUTION: On the one hand, there are successively welded a blank pair A by the first welding head 4, a blank pair C by the second welding head 5, a blank pair B by the first head 4, a blank pair E by the second head 5, a blank pair D by the first head 4, and a blank pair F by the second head 5.
