PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of generating electric power efficiently by using an NADH solution. SOLUTION: In the fuel cell having a structure in which a negative electrode 1 and a positive electrode 2 are opposed via a proton conductor 3, an enzyme/electron mediator fixing electrode in which diaphorase 12 and an electron mediator 13 are fixed on an electrode 11 such as carbon is employed as the negative electrode 1, and the NADH solution is used as fuel. The concentration of the NADH solution is 2 to 130 mM, and preferably 3 to 40 mM. Instead of the NADH solution, an NADPH solution or a solution containing NADH and NADPH may be used.
