<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent operation of an air conditioner from being affected by communication failure in general-purpose network, while enjoying the benefits by internal communication of the air conditioner through the general-purpose network. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioning system comprises the air conditioner and control means 11, 13, 21, 23, 26. The air conditioner has first communicating portions 14-16, 24, 25 and second communicating portions 14-16, 24, 25. The second communicating portions 14-16, 24, 25 communicate with the first communicating portions 14-16, 24, 25 through the general-purpose network 1.
