PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a COG (Chip On Glass) type liquid crystal display panel capable of preventing a signal from flowing into a liquid crystal driving integrated circuit through a dummy electrode caused by the leak of an electrode pattern for display. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel has the liquid crystal driving LSI 30 mounted on one substrate 10 for a counter electrode between a pair of the substrate 10 for the counter electrode and a substrate 20 for a segment electrode which are opposed to each other across liquid crystal. The counter electrode 11, the segment electrode 21, and a plurality of terminals 32 for external connection of the liquid crystal driving LSI 30 are electrically connected to each other. At least the dummy electrode 17 for uniformly sticking the liquid crystal driving LSI 30 by pressure is provided adjacently to portions of the counter electrode 11 and segment electrode 21. The dummy electrode 17 is formed as a defective portion 17a below the terminals 30 for external connection of the liquid crystal driving LSI 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
