PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a laser beam from leaking even during the time of non-connection. SOLUTION: The optical connector is equipped with a housing 11, an optical fiber 12, a fiber support section 13 for holding the optical fiber 12, a total reflection section 24 that changes the optical path of outgoing light from the end of the optical fiber 12 held by the fiber support section 13, and an optical path shielding section 27 that shields the outgoing light reflected by the total reflection section 24, with the optical path changed.
