PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stand device for a flat display, in which height and angle are surely, smoothly and promptly adjusted even in the case of a large and heavy flat display, and a side edge section is not contacted to a wall, even if the flat display is not separated apart from the wall. SOLUTION: The stand device is equipped with an adjusting device for supporting the flat display through an inner cylinder, in which the height and the angle to right and left are arbitrarily adjusted. The adjusting device comprises: an electric motor for lifting up and down; a planetary decelerating mechanism for decelerating rotation of the electric motor for lifting up and down; a lifting adjusting means composed of a transmitting means by which the inner cylinder is moved up and down by decelerating rotation from the planetary decelerating mechanism; an electric motor for oscillating; a planetary decelerating mechanism for decelerating rotation of the electric motor for oscillating; and an oscillation adjusting means composed of a transmitting means by which the flat display is oscillated to right and left by the decelerating rotation from the planetary decelerating mechanism.
