PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time taken when changing the attitude of a retreating lens holding frame between a retreating position and a photographing position and further to miniaturize a lens barrel. SOLUTION: A projection part 31p is formed on a third lens holding frame 31, and a projection part 22p is formed on a first rotary barrel 22. When photography can be started by the first rotary barrel 22, the engagement of the projection part 22p of the first rotary barrel 22 with the projection part 31p is released, thereby locating the third lens holding frame 31 at the photographing position, and when the first rotary barrel 22 is collapsed in a main body side, the projection part 31p is pressed down by the projection part 22p of the first rotary barrel 22, thereby locating the third lens holding frame 31 at the retreating position. Thus, an attaching part 31k is miniaturized, and a third group main guide shaft 32 and a lead screw 34 are shortened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
