PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic encoder capable of thinning a wall thickness while providing excellent detection sensitivity, and capable of selecting a proper material to secure moldability. SOLUTION: The magnetic encoder 10 is provided with a multi-pole magnet 14 with magnetic poles formed alternately along a circumferential direction, and a mandrel 11 for supporting the multi-pole magnet 14. The multi-pole magnet 14 comprises a mixture with magnetic powder mixed in a plastomer such as a plastic, and a blended amount of the magnetic powder is 30-80 vol%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
