<p>A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus is provided with a static magnetic field generating means, which is arranged around a photographing space wherein a specimen to be inspected is arranged, and generates a static magnetic field in the photographing space; a tilted magnetic field generating means, which is arranged on a side of the photographing space of the static magnetic field generating means, and generates a tilted magnetic field in the photographing space; and a high frequency magnetic field generating means, which is arranged on a side of the photographing space of the tilted magnetic field generating means, and generates a high frequency magnetic field in the photographing space. In the static magnetic field generating means, the shape of an inner side and/or an outer side of a cross-section in a direction vertical to the static magnetic field is substantially polygonal.</p> |
