<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a congestion preventing method for preventing congestion of a network without inserting a congestion bit by a relay node, and having a least packet to be abandoned. <P>SOLUTION: A rate control circuit connected to a transmission terminal (at the time of upload) or a reception terminal (at the time of download) is designed to increase packet rate APR to be permitted now by packet acceleration or packet acceleration ratio from an initial rate to a peak packet rate, to transmit a FRM packet including the sequential number, and to receive a BRM packet to be returned at a reception side. When a part of the sequential number included in the packet is lost, the network is determined as being congested, then the packet rate which is now to be permitted is pulled down, and the rate is maintained within a constant time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
