<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a referral by easily extracting only necessary medical information. <P>SOLUTION: This referral creation support apparatus includes a medical practice information storage means for storing patients' medical practice information; a medical institution information storage means for storing information about a medical institution and doctors; a partner medical institution information storage means for storing information including communication requirements related to the partner medical institution; and a referral creation means for reading from the medical practice information storage means the medical practice information designated by a user on a creation screen and for transferring this information to referral data. The referral creation means separates the medical practice information for transcribing to a referral into a plurality of groups and manages the groups by providing a name to each of the groups. Input screens for the groups of medical practice information are displayed in a display means in such a way that the screens can be switched from one to another according to tabs whose headers are the names.
