<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition program that can reliably acquire information of a printer connected to a computer. <P>SOLUTION: An information acquiring component is determined in consideration of a connection method as well as the type of information to be acquired. Thereby, a more suitable component can be determined than an existing component determination based only on the connection method to reliably acquire information of a printer connected to a computer.
