PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of evaluating amounts of urea and moisture in an object capable of evaluating the amounts of the urea and the moisture in the object in vivo.

SOLUTION: This method of evaluating the amounts of the urea and the moisture in the object includes a step for irradiating the object with a near infrared ray containing at least one wavelength within 1850 nm or more and less than 1950 nm of range, and at least one wavelength within 1950 nm or more and less than 2000 nm of range (S2), a step for obtaining a spectral data of the near infrared ray reflected from the object (S4), and a step for evaluating the amount of the urea and the amount of the moisture in the object, using the spectral data of the near infrared ray.
