摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring means for velocity distribution in micropassages having spatial resolution in the order of micrometer, and capable of acquiring three-dimension (x, y, z) and three-component (u, v, w) information. SOLUTION: The measuring means has an optical irradiation means for irradiating, with light, a flow field in a micropassage supplied with minute tracer particles, an image pickup means for picking up an image of the flow field, a focal plane set means for changing its focal plane to an arbitrary position, and an analysis means for finding velocity distribution in the micropassage. The image pickup means picks up at least three images at very short intervals of time continuously, at positions of at least two kinds of focal planes set by the focal plane set means, and the analysis means analyzes the obtained images, and finds the velocity distribution of the three components in the directions of the x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis.
