PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone resin composition for water-repelling coating capable of forming a coating film of high hardness that exhibits excellent preservation stability and, after cured, excellent water repellency. SOLUTION: The silicone resin composition for water-repelling coating comprises (A) an organopolysiloxane having an average constitutional unit represented by the formula: (R<SB>2</SB>SiO<SB>2/2</SB>)<SB>w</SB>(RSiO<SB>3/2</SB>)<SB>x</SB>(SiO<SB>4/2</SB>)<SB>y</SB>(O<SB>1/2</SB>R<SP>1</SP>)<SB>z</SB>[wherein R is a 1-10C monovalent hydrocarbon group; R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom or a 1-6C saturated hydrocarbon group; w is a numerical value of at least 0 and at most 0.2; x is a numerical value of at least 0.4 and at most 0.9; y is a numerical value of at least 0.1 and at most 0.6; z is a numerical value of at least 0.1 and at most 0.5; and (w+x+y)=1], (B) an alcoholic solvent, (C) a hydrocarbon solvent and/or a dimethyl silicone represented by the formula: Me<SB>3</SB>SiO(Me<SB>2</SB>SiO)<SB>n</SB>SiMe<SB>3</SB>(wherein Me is a methyl group; and n is 0 or 1), (D) an alkoxysilane and/or a silane coupling agent, and (E) a catalyst for a condensation reaction.
