PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new oxidation base which makes it possible to dye keratin fibers with a variety of colors of low selectivity strong and beautiful diverse color tones and durable to attacking factors such as light, sweat and a shampoo. SOLUTION: New double para-phenylenediamine derivatives such as ethyl 2,6-bis[(4-aminophenyl)amino]hexanoate are joined by a linker arm for which one or more carboxy groups and/or derivatives thereof are substituted.
