PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fitting type torsional damper easily. SOLUTION: An elastic body 3 molded annularly by a rubber-like elastic material is provided in a fitting-in-play condition between an outer peripheral cylindrical part 13 formed into a conical cylindrical shape in an outer peripheral part of a hub 1 constituted by a molded body of a metallic plate and an annular mass body 2 arranged concentrically on its inner peripheral side, and the outer peripheral cylindrical part 13, the elastic body 3, and the annular mass body 2 are mutually brought into pressure-contact by drawing the outer peripheral cylindrical part 13 onto an inner peripheral side like a cylinder. Finish machining of a pulley channel 13a formed on an outer peripheral face of the outer peripheral cylindrical part 13 is performed by rolling after drawing of the outer peripheral cylindrical part 13.
