PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable scroll compressor with stable efficiency by operating such that a back pressure partition band is pressed against a turning end plate back surface under a stable condition immediately right after start. SOLUTION: Lubricating oil of pressure equal to delivery pressure of a compression mechanism acting on a center side of a back surface of a turning end plate 102 is made to easily flow in a groove bottom by making a depth of a bottom surface of a storage groove 109 of the back pressure partition band 108 deeper on a high pressure side, and less than or equal to the thickness of the back pressure partition band 108 on a low pressure side. The back pressure partition band 108 immediately rises from the storage groove 109 right after start and is pressed against the back surface of the turning end plate 102 to secure seal and stabilize back pressure.
