A digital broadcasting receiving device for automatically scrolling EPG information and a method thereof are provided to enable a control unit to control an EPG generating unit to automatically scroll broadcasting information corresponding to a predetermined automatic scroll function in a predetermined direction on an EPG window, thereby reducing time required to search program information of a broadcasting station. A digital broadcasting receiving device for automatically scrolling EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information comprises the followings: a signal receiving unit(210) for receiving a broadcasting program signal; a detecting unit(220) for detecting an EPG signal from the broadcasting program signal; an EPG generating unit(230) for generating an EPG window by processing the EPG signal; a display unit(240) for displaying the EPG window; and a control unit(260) for controlling the EPG generating unit(230) to automatically scroll broadcasting information corresponding to a predetermined automatic scroll function in a predetermined direction on the EPG window. The automatic scroll function is one of a program information automatic scroll function classified by a time, a broadcasting information automatic scroll function, and a preferred channel automatic scroll function.
