<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of COP (coefficient of performance) of a refrigerant circuit by performing proper cooling treatment on water for hot water storage in a hot water storage tank without affected by outdoor air temperature, in a water heater comprising the refrigerant circuit of a steam compression type refrigerating cycle and the hot water storage tank. <P>SOLUTION: This water heater 1 comprises the hot water storage tank 11, and the refrigerant circuit 20 of the steam compression type refrigerating cycle having a radiator 21, an evaporator 22 and an auxiliary evaporator 23. The water of high temperature is stored in the hot water storage tank 11 by heating the water for hot water storage, taken out from a lower portion of the hot water storage tank 11 by the radiator 21, then returning the water of high temperature to an upper portion of the hot water storage tank 11. Further a cooling circuit 15 is connected with the lower portion of the hot water storage tank 11, and the water for hot water storage at the bottom of the hot water storage tank 11 is cooled by the auxiliary evaporator 23 of the refrigerant circuit 20 and returned to the bottom of the hot water storage tank 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
