<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which has high-definition pixels, is thin and excellent in spectral characteristics, and is excellent also in film adhesion, and a method for manufacturing a color filter by which such an excellent color filter can easily be manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter has pixels formed of a colorant-containing heat-curable composition containing a heat-curable compound and a colorant, and pixels formed by vapor-depositing a colorant.
