<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-plane switching liquid crystal display device capable of preventing reduction of a contrast ratio by improving light leakage in a dark state and improving color inversion due to a visual field angle, in the in-plane switching liquid crystal display device including an optical compensation film. <P>SOLUTION: In the in-plane switching liquid crystal display device, supporting bodies 424a, 424b, 434a and 434b of polarizers 420 and 430 adjacent to a liquid crystal display panel 410 are formed by using a substance having no phase delay and compensation films 440, 450 and 460 such as a +C plate and an A plate are disposed between the polarizer 420 and 430 and the liquid crystal display panel 410 to reduce light leakage in a diagonal direction of the panel in the dark state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
