PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image blur correction device capable of preventing damage of a blur correction drive mechanism by a simple and small structure. SOLUTION: The image blur correction device includes: a guide means by which a blur correction optical element is movably guided in a direction perpendicular to an imaging optical axis; and a drive means by which the blur correction optical element is moved along the guide means. The drive means includes: a first movable body moved by a drive source in the guiding direction of the guide means; a second movable body moved in the guiding direction of the guide means relative to the first movable body, and used for applying the moving force to the hold member of the image blur correction optical element; and a movable-body control means for elastically connecting the first and second movable bodies, and moving the first and second movable bodies integrally or relatively according to the magnitude of resistance to movement.
