PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which is convenient for a user, and a method for controlling the image processor and a program without complicating control or device even when different sizes or different types of originals coexist in the case of multi-clock copy. SOLUTION: This image processor having a segmenting means for segmenting a plurality of images on an original stand and a recording means for recording a plurality of originals segmented by the segmenting means as image data is provided with an original information detecting means for detecting original information as information relating to an original on the original stand, a recording paper information detecting means for detecting recording paper information as information relating to recording paper to be used by the recording means and a reading order control means for controlling the reading order of an original on the original stand according to the original information and the recording information.
