PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To photograph motion picture, while tracking an object, when the motion picture and a still image are photographed simultaneously. SOLUTION: A camera 11 photographs an image. A motion picture processing section 15 generates motion picture data, i. e. the image data of a motion picture, from an image photographed by means of the camera 11. When the motion picture processing section 15 is generating motion picture data, a still image processing section 14 generates still image data, i. e. the image data of a still image, from an image photographed by means of the camera 11. During generation of the motion picture data, a monitoring control section 18 generates data for displaying image, corresponding to the motion picture data at a display section 20. When the still image data is generated, the monitoring control section 18 generates data indicating generation of still image data at a display section 19.
