PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode assembly for mounting an electric element manufacturing an electric component with a small size, a high capacity, less dispersion in its electric characteristic, and less resistive components such as the ESR, and also to provide an electric component employing the same. SOLUTION: The electrode assembly 10 for mounting the electric element 1 has two or more electrodes (6a, 6b or the like) each with a structure wherein a side on which the electric element 1 is mounted and a side connected to a board B and acting like an external electrode E are in a front-back relation, at least one opening 7 notched from a side edge or a corner of one or more electrodes toward the inside is provided to the side edge or the corner, and the electrode assembly 10 is connected to the electric element 1 to configure the electric component.
