PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer control device and an electronic device comprising the data transfer control device capable of providing various interfaces to an ATA (AT attachment) host in a state of minimizing the fall of a transfer rate or maintaining the transfer rate without the fall. SOLUTION: The data transfer control device comprises a device side I/F of ATA carrying out data transfer to and from the ATA host through an ATA bus 1; a host side I/F of ATA carrying out data transfer to and from a ATA device through an ATA bus 2; device side pads 58-1, 58-2, 58-3, etc. which are device side I/F pads; host side pads 68-1, 68-2, 68-3, etc. which are host side I/F pads; and a switching circuit having switching elements 112-1, 112-2, 112-3, etc. for carrying out connection/nonconnection between signal lines from the device side pads 58-1, 58-2, 58-3, etc. and signal lines from the host side pads 68-1, 68-2, 68-3, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
