PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-up display system for directing display in a visual field of an arbitrary driver, using a very simple operation without having to change the direction of the system. SOLUTION: The head-up display system mainly comprises an SH unit 11, including switch hologram (SH) elements 11a-11c composing a combiner, a display unit 12 for feeding an image source to the SH unit 11, a light source control part 13 for controlling the light source in the display unit 12, an SH control part 14 for controlling the SH elements 11a-11c, and a control part 15 for performing the overall system control, including the light source control part 13 and the SH control part 14.
