PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer capable of appropriately holding reinforcing bars having different diameters. SOLUTION: The spacer 11 comprises a reinforcing bar holding section 13 and a leg section 14. The reinforcing bar holding section 13 comprises a bottom section supporting piece 15 supporting the bottom face of the reinforcing bar 12, a top section holding piece 17 holding the top face of the reinforcing bar 12 and an elastic connection piece 16 connecting the bottom section supporting piece 15 and the top section holding piece 17 with each other. The elastic connection piece 16 is shaped to protrude outside to greatly deform a reinforcing bar holding space 23 formed between the bottom section supporting piece 15 and the top section supporting piece 17.
