PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin cleansing agent excellent in foaming, free from sliminess in rinsing and tense feeling after washing and imparting soft touch to the skin. SOLUTION: The skin cleansing agent comprises (A) an N-acyltaurine type surfactant represented by general formula (1) (wherein R<SB>1</SB>is a 7-19C alkyl group or alkenyl group; R<SB>2</SB>is a 1-3C lower alkyl group; M<SB>3</SB>is an alkali metal or an organic amine), (B) a polymer compound having a vinylpyrrolidone monomer and a quaternarized vinylimidazole monomer as components and (C) a polyhydric alcohol.
