A system for monitoring video call is used to monitor the video communication between the calling video terminal and the called video terminal. The system includes an MSC server, a media gateway, a video gateway and a monitoring receipt unit. When the calling video terminal initiates a video call to the called video terminal, the MSC server indicates the media gateway to copy the call data of the calling and called video terminals and send it to the video gateway, indicates the video gateway to de-multiplex the audio stream and video stream from the call data of the calling and called video terminals. The video gateway sends the audio stream and video stream to the monitoring receipt unit to be played. There is also a method for monitoring video call in the invention. The invention can achieve the monitoring of video call, supply the gap of the art, enable the monitoring unlimited to the place and time and the monitoring more flexible based on the above system and method. |
