<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match a counting value of each counter using a simple control, in an image forming apparatus having a mechanical counter and an electronic counter. <P>SOLUTION: CPU 1 of the image forming apparatus controls counting-up the operation of the mechanical counter 6, in response to the counting value of the electronic counter (NVRAM4). For instance, when the counting value of the electronic counter exceeds a predetermined numerical value (e.g. zero), the count-up operation is performed to the mechanical counter 6. Alternatively, after the counting value of the electronic counter performs processing returned to zero, the counting-up operation is also performed on the mechanical counter, when performing the counting-up operation to the electronic counter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
