<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus which provides high quality printed material from the transferred printing data which are made into 1 bit for reducing data transfer time. <P>SOLUTION: A multi-valuation part 23 converts each CMYK 1 bit binary data from an expansion part 22 into a multi-valued data. Specifically, in a table that contains values with their respective digit of binary values to which two-toned data of an attention-pixel (0, 1) and two-toned data in neighbors of the attention-pixel such as eight pixels in eight directions around the attention-pixel assigned as parameters, appropriate values for the attention-pixel according to surrounding pixels situations are set.
