PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more efficiently achieve an isothermal state with respect to a carrier such as a chip, a rotor, etc. for analyzing a physiological specimen and to provide the carrier and a reader reduced in power consumption. SOLUTION: The biochemical analyzer is composed of a heating means for heating a part of one side of the carrier which performs regular motion, a temperature measuring means for measuring the temperature of the region opposed to the region of the heating means and a control means for regulating and controlling the heating quantity of the temperature measuring means on the basis of the temperature measured by the temperature measuring means and an endothermic member having a black color or the like is preferably provided to a surface other than the surface for heating the carrier.
