PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound metal alkoxide that is useful as a raw material for a homogeneous compound oxide, has a clear structure and is homogeneous in a molecular level. SOLUTION: The new compound metal alkoxide is represented by general formula (1) (M1and M2are each mutually different and is an element of the group II, the group III or the group IV except carbon; R1and R2are each a monofunctional chain hydrocarbon group or the like; Z is a bifunctional chain hydrocarbon group or the like; f and g are each 0 when M1or M2is an element of the group II, f and g are each 1 when M1or M2is an element of the group III and f and g are each 2 when M1or M2is an element of the group IV).
