PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crossing gate for railroad crossing which can reduce the load for a motor by assisting the elevation of a crossing rod, and enables the motor to be miniaturized, and the power consumption to be suppressed. SOLUTION: For this crossing gate for railroad crossing, a cabinet 11 is equipped with a crossing rod rotating shaft 13 to which the crossing rod 12 is attached, and a lifting assisting means which accumulates an elastic energy to an urging member A and assists the lifting of the crossing rod 12 from the accumulated elastic energy. The lifting assisting means has a crossing rod side rotating member, and an assisting side rotating member 23. In this case, the crossing rod side rotating member is arranged on the crossing rod rotating shaft 13 side, and integrally rotates with the crossing rod rotating shaft 13. The assisting side rotating member 23 integrally rotates with an assisting rotating shaft 14 while coming into contact with the crossing rod side rotating member. Respective rotations of the crossing rod rotating shaft 13 and the assisting rotating shaft 14 are transmitted to each other, and the contact position between the crossing rod side rotating member and the assisting side rotating member 23 is displaced following the rotations.
