Disclosed is a wireless terminal and method for comparing the motions of a video with the motions of a moving picture being displayed as a model. The method comprises the steps of switching to motion compare mode by selection during displaying the moving picture, extracting at least two image frames from video data input in the motion compare mode, extracting a shift frame from the image frames, extracting sampling data from the shift frame with reference to predetermined directions, converting the sampling data into orientation data, and comparing the orientation data with the orientation data of the moving picture to generate and display the results of the comparison.
