The apparatus has a substrate (1) on which are mounted components (2) and conductive tracks. A conductive shield element surrounds the tracks and components. The shield has a first part on one side of the substrate and a second part on the other side. The substrate (1) has through recesses through which spring arms of the respective shield parts extend to contact the other shield part.
