A diagonal sliding surface (20) is formed on a transmission oil pan (4) below a transmission (1). The transmission is supported on a cross beam (6) via flexible bearing (5). The sliding surface also runs parallel to the opposing surface (22) of a clevis mounting (10) below the beam and bearing. Both surfaces aid sliding of the transmission relative to the cross beam.
