The method involves establishing a short-distance communication connection (12) as a Bluetooth-radio connection between a mobile station (10) and a localization station (14) by a wireless-technology for very short to short ranges in comparison to a portable radio. Data are exchanged between the stations by the communication connection, where localization of the mobile station is implemented based on the exchanged data. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a localization station for use in a method of localizing of a mobile station (2) a position data processing system for use in method of localizing of a mobile station (3) a device for localizing of a mobile station.
