A power generating apparatus for varying a frequency and a method therefor are provided to improve reliability by reducing electromagnetic interference according to high voltage power supply of a specific frequency. A power generating apparatus for varying a frequency includes a filter unit(120), a voltage amplifying unit(140), a frequency varying unit(160), and a high voltage transforming unit(180). The filter unit(120) filters a pulse width modulation signal inputted as a fixed-frequency. The voltage amplifying unit(140) amplifies a voltage of the pulse width modulation signal outputted from the filter unit(120) to a predetermined amplitude voltage. The frequency varying unit(160) outputs a power signal which sequentially varies the fixed-frequency of the pulse width modulation signal outputted from the voltage amplifying unit(140). The high voltage transforming unit(180) transforms the power signal to high voltage power, and outputs the transformed high voltage power. |
