A multi-mode mobile communication terminal is provided to generate a control signal for determining the path of voice output/input signals by determining the current mode, and enable a switch to selectively connect one of plural CODECs to each voice input unit and voice output unit, thereby removing the necessity of separately configuring voice input units and voice output units according to each mode. A multi-mode mobile communication terminal(10) comprise the followings: plural CODECs(Coders/DECoders)(152,160) supporting each call mode; a voice output unit(192) for outputting a voice signal; a voice input unit(194) for inputting the voice signal; a switch(190) for respectively connecting one of the plural CODECs to the voice output unit(192) and voice input unit(194); and a controller(140) which controls the execution of a corresponding mode by determining the current call mode, and controls a signal path of the switch(190).
