A thermosetting resin composition which comprises, as essential ingredients, (A) a thermoplastic resin having a polyhydroxyether skeleton represented by the general formula (a) and/or polyhydroxyether skeleton represented by the general formula (b) in which 5 to 99 mol% of the hydroxy groups have been esterified and (B) a thermosetting resin. (In the formulae, R1 represents C1- 18 aliphatic- or aromatic-ring-containing alkylene or -SO2-; 5 to 99 mol% of R2 is accounted for by a linear or cyclic C1- 20 carbonyl group or an aromatic carbonyl group and the remainder, i. e., 95 to 1 mol% of R2, is accounted for by hydrogen; and R3 represents hydrogen or methyl, provided that the R3s' may be the same or different.). ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
