A router (102) comprises a motor housing (104), a motor provided in the motor housing driving a collet (106) for turning a cutting tool, and a base (110) for resting on a workpiece. Support columns (118,120) mounted to the base allow the motor housing to move relative to the base in a direction parallel to the rotational axis of the cutting tool. The support columns are spaced apart in a direction transverse to the rotational axis, and the motor housing is connected to the support columns by means of support members (112,140) spaced apart in a direction parallel to the rotational axis. |
