An optical pickup device for heterogeneous optical discs is provided to perform record and reproduction for the heterogeneous optical discs, which use different wavelengths, respectively, and whose track pitches considerably differ. At least two or more light sources(201,202) generate beams each having different wavelengths. Two or more light condensing parts(206,207) correspond to two or more optical discs, and condense the beams irradiated to the respective optical discs. An optical path changing part(205) transmits the beams irradiated from the light sources(201,202) to the light condensing part corresponding to the specific optical discs. A photo detecting part(208) converts the beams reflected from the optical discs into electric signals. It is necessary for the two or more optical discs to condense the beams in the light condensing parts, using beams of different wavelengths or having different performance.
